About Insight2 Mental Health
There is a saying that there is ‘No Health without Mental Health’. We all know how important it is to keep ourselves physically well and we are taught this from a very young age; exercise regularly, eat a healthy diet, maintain a healthy weight and get enough sleep. All of these things can of course help to keep us mentally healthy, but do we really understand what else we can do to positively influence the way we think and feel?
Mental health is everyone’s business … we all have it and we need to take care of it. We experience times when we feel low, upset, frightened or stressed and most of the time these feelings pass. These feelings can however develop into a more serious problem and this is when we experience mental ill health. Mental ill health is very common and it affects one in four people in the course of their lives.
Unfortunately mental illness is on the rise, and drastically. There are many reasons for the alarming trends we are seeing such as social media pressure, sexual orientation confusion, increased work/education or financial performance pressures, increased parental pressures and many more.
So what is the solution? At Insight2 Mental Health, we firmly believe that the focus must be on prevention rather than cure. Having a greater understanding of how to keep ourselves mentally well is vital, but this can mean changing ingrained habits. Through a variety of interactive and enjoyable training programmes, Insight2 Mental Health can help you to gain a deeper understanding of mental health and mental ill health, and suggests ways in which you can keep yourself mentally well.
However, we know that at times we may find ourselves needing support to overcome emotional distress and that is where Insight2 Mental Health can also help. We can help you to get your life working again – quickly. Time won’t be wasted endlessly asking you to go over and analyse the past. Therapy sessions will be kept to an absolute minimum as the aim is to help you to start feeling better from your very first appointment.
Please feel free to take a good look around our site which will provide you with more information on the training and therapy available, and we look forward to hearing from you if you feel we can be of any assistance.
